Finding a Job

Finding a job is not as easy as it used to be. For some, finding a job may seem like an impossible task. There are many reasons why you may not have been able to find a job in the past. Some of these reasons include:

- • You may have been underemployed
- • You may have been self-employed
- • You may have been laid off
- • You may have had other issues
You may have experienced any or all of these things in the past and now you are looking for a job. The first thing you need to do is look at yourself. If you are honest with yourself, you will see that you are in good shape and that you are ready to get back into the workforce.

1. Check out online job sites. These sites have hundreds of thousands of jobs available. You should start by checking out Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com, and Hotjobs.com.
2. Check out local newspapers. You can check out the classifieds for local newspaper websites. You can also call the newspaper offices and ask about job openings.
3. Check out your local library. Many libraries have career counselors who can help you find a job.
4. Check out your local community college. They often have job fairs and workshops that can help you find a job.
